You may know it as the ‘Hammo’ – a place for Friday drinks and a great steak – but there’s a lot more to this venue than you may think and we’d like you to take a look at it’s more sophisticated side! We were recently invited to attend the Hamilton Hotel Wedding Open Day and discovered an elegant and engaging wedding venue that ticks the boxes of the most demanding bride.
We had a discussion with Melissa Hislop, their experienced wedding coordinator, to find out more about the hotel, and were very pleasantly surprised by the the look, feel and flexibility this venue offers.
The Hamilton Hotel boasts two function rooms, both of which are spacious, and offer two very different styling opportunities. The River Room is light and airy, with a comfortable capacity for up to 70 seated guests, or up to 200 for a cocktail reception. The second option is the H Lounge, which offers a very open plan reception for up to 150 seated guests or a massive 700 for cocktails. The benefit of this gorgeous room is the lounge and bar area. Decorated in black and gold, you get the feel of opulence and space to create separate zones for your wedding guests to mingle and chat. Then there is the added benefit of the marquee area. This can be used to keep the beautifully styled reception room a mystery right to the last moment and allowing every guest to experience the wow factor as they enter your choice of reception rooms.
