The latest issue of The Wedding Alley is out now. Get your golden inspiration online, and view for free.
Gold Fever has hit the Wedding Alley this edition and we’ve been inspired by every shade of this most luminous of precious metals. From super sparkly yellow-gold through to burnished old-gold, there’s a colour, fabric and style to suit any bride-to-be on the coming pages.
In this issue our fantasies have been fulfilled as we have a selection of stunning gowns and bucket loads of water – a whole ocean full of it in fact! We have gowns by the water and we even have gowns in the water.
See our shoots – The Tide is High and Siren’s Allure to see how wet these amazing gowns got. Our talented creative team of Aleesha Darke, Hair Stylist, and Suzi Dent, Makeup Artist, transformed our dazzling models from Katz Model Management to be even more alluring. Our Stylish Seaside Sophistication shoot was accompanied with wedding styling by Kasey Twidale at Fashionable Society Events and stationery from LaPapeterie. To complement the seaside theme of this issue is the seriously full on Trashed! shoot from Dave at Masterpieces Photography + Video.

Time has really flown since our last edition, but as you will see from some of the fabulous articles in this edition, we’ve been incredibly busy in some of the fashion capitals of the world. We have promised to keep The Wedding Alley different and we hope you love seeing some unique Australian designs showcased in some of the most iconic locations in Europe.
In this edition we are focussing on Paris, the city of love, with some styled shoots featuring a range of jewellery, invitations and stunning accoutrements from the Brisbane based, and very aptly named, La Papeterie. Paris is one of my very favourite places and provides such fabulous inspiration for any romantic at heart. Of course it’s also one of the world’s best shopping locations too.
We also have a feature on makeup trends for 2014, with stunning examples created by some of Brisbane’s exceptionally talented artists and captured in and around the studio by Masterpieces Photography. This was such a fun shoot to direct and I hope it gives you the inspiration to step outside your comfort zone and consider a new look for your wedding or next event.
In this issue we have added an out and about section, with imagery of events we have been invited to here and abroad. London Fashion Weekend was an obvious highlight – I know, it’s a hard job sometimes – but there have also been some great events in Brisbane too over the past few weeks. If you have an event you would like us to attend, or publicise via the magazine, website or social media, please email with details and we will be pleased to help.
It’s hard to believe that 2014 is almost here and it is certainly shaping up as a big year for weddings. To all our wonderful subscribers, fans, clients and contributors we would like to thank you for your support in 2013 and wish you all the best for the festive season. We hope you enjoy a wonderfully restful and relaxing holiday break and wish you success and happiness in 2014. We will be back with a new edition early in the New Year with even more exciting editorial photo shoots and inspiration.
Yay – after much hard work, and collaboration with some amazing talents Issue Two of the Wedding Alley is now out.
We captured beautiful imagery of stunning bridal gowns, from Elizabeth de Varga Exclusive Fashions, George Wu, JK Couture Designs, Karen Willis Holmes and When Freddie Met Lilly, at The Pullman Hotel in Brisbane. Gorgeous bridal creations with the modern and newly refurbished decor of the Pullman.
The super talented Shelley Veitch from Elite Freelancing created the divine hair and makeup.
A favourite of many of the team is the Gatsby inspired selection shot in the KG Bar. Dark, sensual and very glamorous – a true reflection of 1920s.
This first edition features the gorgeous creations of Joanne Hasson from JK Couture Designs, the spectacular gowns and headpieces by When Freddie Met Lilly by Vanessa Hoe, together with bespoke jewellery from LaPapeterie. We hope you enjoy the first edition and we are looking forward to bringing you much more in edition two.
